The "Republic of Texas" pewter medallion artwork reproduces a miniature version of the sheet metal star found at the center of the Texas State Capitol Rotunda.  This Lone Star is found 266 feet (81.1 m) above the Rotunda's floor and measures 8 feet (2.4 m) in diameter.
